System Specialist - who wants to soften the edges of a hard reality

Much of today's complex digital systems in industries such as automotive and telecom are using highly optimized hard and inflexible implementations. While this design process may approach the performance limits of a certain technology node, it is inherently slow and expensive. One conceptual remedy for this is to use the increased performance resulting from advances in digital hardware technology to build more flexible architectures. We believe that for certain industries this transition is vital for responding to the needs of the customers in the near future in terms of feature development time and product cost. 

 
Therefore, we are looking for a system engineer that wants to contribute in the challenge to investigate how such an architecture and development process would look like. We offer a challenging job in a team of highly skilled peers. You will be working on analyzing the current state of the technology, suggesting new system partitionings, addressing complexity challenges and leading design activities. You will interact with industry partners developing hardware components that will be used in the design. You will also participate in international research programs covering adjacent topics.  
 
We believe that you are curious, ambitious and self-going. Your formal qualifications include:
  • M. Sc. or equivalent from a relevant field
  • Research education is meriting, since you will be working in research programs 
  • Several years of relevant experience
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Basic Swedish
